  • Is Bloom putty safe?

    Yes! Safety is VERY important to us. Bloom putty was tested for US regulatory safety standards. It conforms to the ASTM d4236 - Standard Practice for Labeling of Art Materials. It conforms to the requirements of ASTM Standard Consumer Safety Specification on Toy Safety, F963. Bloom putty was tested and passed 16 CFR 1303 ban of lead-containing paint. Since this toy can be molded into various sizes and shapes, Bloom putty is a Choking hazard - small parts, not for children under 3 years. We recommend Bloom putty for ages 4 and up. If you feel your child, at 4 years old, is not old enough to understand not to put Bloom putty in his/her mouth, please use your best judgment. We don't want anyone at any age choking on it!

  • Bloom putty smells great, can I eat it?

    No. Bloom putty is a choking hazard. Do not put in your mouth. That is our greatest safety concern. We can't say that enough. If you do ingest it, you should get it back, but it will not smell so good.

  • Is Bloom putty sticky?

    No. The only thing it will leave on skin is a great smell. It can stick to fabrics and hair depending on exposure and temperature. Be sure to keep Bloom putty in its container when not in use.

  • How do you get Bloom putty out of hair, or clothes?

    Hand sanitizer or cooking oil spray works the best. Work it in and the Bloom putty should comb out. Another option is rubbing alcohol. For fabrics, try WD40. Read safety labels beforehand on any product. Test a small patch first to determine color fastness.

  • Does it dry out or crumble?

    Never. Bloom puttyBloom puttyBloom putty is silicone based which does not dry out or crumble.

  • How do I clean putty?

    Besides picking at it, there is not another way that we know of. Be sure to wash hands before use to prevent dust, dirt, or other elements from transferring onto the putty. Keep Bloom putty in its container when not in use. If your Bloom putty is dirty, the best thing to do is purchase new, clean, great smelling Bloom putty.

    Bloom putty is made of silicone rubber, a coloring agent and organic and natural scents to make it smell great.

  • How can Bloom putty help with therapy?

    Bloom putty is great for occupational and physical therapy for developing fine motor skills, hand strengthening, or muscle relaxation. Bloom putty is a great hand therapy for those who experience hand fatigue caused by repetitive and constant use, such as, massage therapists, dentists, chiropractors, musicians, artists, surgeons and computer users.

    It is great for stress therapy because it calm the nerves and relaxes the body, mind and soul.

  • How is Bloom putty different from other children's molding/play doughs?

    Unlike play doughs, it will not dry out or crumble and there is virtually no clean up. It doesn't leave a residue on your hands.

  • Can I make the Bloom putty firmer or softer?

    As it is played with, Bloom putty will soften up as it warms. For firmer putty, put in refrigerator until desired firmness - 30 minutes will firm the putty, but try longer until desired firmness. For soft putty right away and to help tired hand muscles, try it warm - caution: ADULTS only - put in microwave for 10 second intervals until desired warmth. Be careful not to overheat and burn yourself. Bloom putty will go back to its original form. These processes can be repeated as desired.

  • Do you ship internationally?

    Yes. International orders can be processed from the web site.

  • Is Bloom putty sold in stores?

    For now, it is only available online, but we hope to get Bloom putty in to stores soon.

  • How do I check my order status?

    You will receive a confirmation email when your order is received. Another email will be sent once your order has been shipped. All domestic shipments will be sent by Priority Mail, which should arrive in 2-3 business days. There is a delivery receipt included with every shipment that will confirm that the package has reached its destination. Tracking is not available with Priority mail. To ship with any service that includes a tracking option would be too costly. To keep the shipping costs low for our customers, we opted for Priority Mail.
